Cyfieithiad i ddod...
Ysgol Llanllechid had an exceptional Eisteddfod again this year. Congratulations to our pupils on all the successes. A huge thank you to parents for taking your children to Ysgol Dyffryn Ogwen on a Saturday, and thank you to all the staff for their hard work preparing the pupils for the Eisteddfod. The Eisteddfod is an important part of the school's calendar, and it is a privilege to support the event! It truly was a clean sweep for Ysgol Llanllechid.
Year 3 and 6 have been busy developing their cycling skills on the school yard, and the older children have been learning to ride on the main road. Well done and take care!
There was an open afternoon as the school opened its doors to the community. It was great to welcome everyone, especially Mr Arwyn Oliver, the former headmaster. There was an exhibition set up in the school hall, and an of opportunity for everyone to have a look through old photos and log books etc., before spending time visiting the children in their classes. The video produced, which included some of our former teachers, will be set up on our website soon. Thank you to everyone who came over to visit us; it was great to see you all!
We look forward to our Christmas Concert celebrating the 70th anniversary with the rock group Celt! Tickets are flying out! We will be selling a programme (£1) and holding a raffle during the evening.
A great Christmas Fair was held again this year, brilliantly organized by our Parent/Teachers, chaired by Mrs Ceri Evans. Many thanks to all of you for your hard work, and for volunteering your time to help Ysgol Llanllechid. Thank you to the Menai Bridge Band for creating a festive atmosphere for us, and to all the stall holders and local buisnesse for coming to support us. Thanks also to the kitchen workers for all their hard work. A profit of £1,461 was made. Truly excellent!

Mrs Wilson and Ms Gwenlli Haf's class went to Storiel Bangor, having had workshops at the school by members of the Partneriaeth Ogwen, Cwmni Mwydro and Storiel. Whilst there, Helen delivered a presentation about carved slates from Penrhyn Quarry. There were different activities derived from patterns that were on the slates. Mr Lobo, who is a local artist, was a great help during our trip. Sincere thanks to you all.The pupils loved using their creative skills, and Iolo said "That was the best trip ever!”
Two shows were held on December 8th, in the school hall – Year 0 and Year 1, and Year 2 and Year 3. Great shows and great singing! Thank you to everyone who taught the pupils, and thank you to the parents and friends for coming along to support us.
